“Because progress doesn’t come in the comfort zone”
Having grown up in Queensland in a high achieving sports fanatic family Jade spent most of her younger years on the sporting field. With an extensive background in multiple sports including athletics, cross country, basketball, tennis and touch football by the age of 16 Jade had achieved representative level playing basketball with the Sydney Comets, State cup touch football with the East Roosters and Ranked number 1 for the Sydney inter district team in tennis.
Jade had no doubts from an early age that her career would follow in the fitness and health industry. Moving into the fitness industry Jade soon fell in love with a different style of fitness to what she had been exposed to all those years on the sporting field. This was to change the way she looked at the human body and how it works from both a competitive sporting level to its rehabilitation capabilities and general day-to-day functioning. “One of the greatest moments in life is realising that two weeks ago your body could not do what it just did!”
Jade believes knowledge is the key and is currently studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports science. She has worked with members from both the Australian, NSW and Queensland touch football teams, members of the NSW and Australian Judo teams, USA national and an Olympic Judo athlete and Australian basketballers in the American college system.
Getting to know your body and what works for you is one of the most important lessons you can learn for longevity in the training arena no matter what you are working towards. Fitness and programming should not be a “one fits all” cookie cutting approach.
